Home Page Jonathan Graham Marine SurveysThank you for logging onto my website. I am a qualified naval architect and marine surveyor carrying out many types of surveys. These include surveys on commercial and pleasure craft, yacht surveys of sailing vessels and marine surveys of motor vessels. The survey could be a pre-purchase, full condition survey of the vessel and her gear or an insurance survey, a valuation, tonnage measurement survey or a code of practice examination. Stability analysis is also carried out for sailing and power vessels. I am based near Millbrook and Torpoint in east Cornwall, with an office looking out towards the Eddystone lighthouse. Winter gales are a good reminder of the conditions that boats have to cope with! I generally carry out surveys in Cornwall and Devon but over the years have surveyed vessels in a variety of places. For instance, a passenger stability analysis on the Clyde, a structural survey of a super yacht near Marseille, a GRP multihull on the Hamble, a 52ft steel refit in North Wales…. I also carry out marine and general engineering design work. In the past this has included the complete design of several passenger ferries, a pedestrian bridge, a steel framed loading bay roof for a retail store, a pontoon assembly ……. Stability books can be compiled for coded vessels, sailing multihulls, passenger vessels, RIBs etc. I work with MECAL (Marine Engineers certifying Authority) to produce stability books for coded vessels or directly with the MCA for passenger vessels. Please click on the appropriate page from the menu for more details or give me a call on the numbers above. |
